PROTECTION OF PERSONAL INFORMATION ACT NO 4 OF 2013

By signing an agreement, the signatory acknowledge, consent, and agree to the following in terms of the Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013:

2.1.        The customer authorizes and consents to Eventz collecting and processing its Personal Information, for the purposes specified in this Agreement.

2.2.        The customer/client expressly agrees and acknowledges that:

2.2.1.     If Eventz collects or processes any Personal Information of the customer/client, it may do so for the duration of this agreement or until the personal information is no longer required by Status.

2.2.2.     Where the customer/client provides personal information of a third party to Eventz, the customer hereby warrants that the necessary consent required in law to provide this personal information to Eventz has been obtained beforehand.

2.2.3.     Eventz retains personal information in accordance with the required retention periods in law or for legitimate business purposes. Eventz may keep personal information indefinitely in a de-identified format for statistical purposes.

2.2.4.     The customer/client may request Eventz to correct any personal information stored, which is inaccurate.

2.2.5.     Where required for our business operations, Eeventz may share the customer/client’s personal information with their service providers. Status will only share the customers/client’s personal information in these instances where it is necessary to do so and only to the extent that customer/client’s personal information is needed for such third parties to perform their services or obligations.

2.2.6.     Eventz is responsible for complying with any data or personal information obligations imposed in terms of any law in respect of Personal Information, including POPIA.

2.2.7.     In the event that the customer/client requests Eventz to destroy and/or delete any Personal Information held on its behalf and the storage or processing of the personal information is no longer required, Eventz will destroy or delete the personal information held.

2.3.        Eventz agrees to use its best efforts to:

2.3.1.     keep Personal Information confidential and not disclose any Personal Information to any person other than as required by law or in the course of the proper performance of its duties.

2.3.2.     maintain appropriate security measures to prevent the loss of damage to, or unauthorized destruction of Personal Information and unlawful access to or processing of Personal Information in accordance with best industry practice.

2.3.3.     notify the customer/client immediately if there are reasonable grounds to believe that Personal Information held by Eventz has been accessed or acquired by an unauthorized person; and/or

2.3.4.     only use the Personal Information for purposes of this agreement or with the prior written consent of the customer/client.
